Anupamaa 31 August 2026 Written Update: Prem Accepts His Mistakes as Shruti Decides Anuj’s Café’s Future

The 31 August 2026 episode of Anupamaa brings a major change in Prem as he finally accepts that Anupama was never his real enemy. While Prem apologises to Rahi and Shruti for his behaviour, Shruti remains upset about the competition result and begins considering legal action against the makers.

Prem Confronts His Mistakes

The episode begins with Prem struggling to accept his defeat after Anupama wins the cooking competition finale. He remembers the challenge he gave Anupama and finds it difficult to understand how his confidence turned into anger.

Prem’s alter ego forces him to face the truth. He realises that Anupama never tried to harm him and that his own ego made him treat her as a rival beyond the competition.

Rahi stays beside Prem while he processes his emotions. She understands that his disappointment is not only about losing the trophy but also about recognising how badly he behaved with Anupama.

Raksha Bandhan Preparations Begin

At the Shah house, the family begins discussing Raksha Bandhan. Anupama talks about the different expectations placed on women during marriage and festivals and points out the contradiction between being expected to seek permission after marriage and being free to visit their brothers during Raksha Bandhan.

Banku recalls celebrating Raksha Bandhan with his sister during childhood. Jaya then asks him for money for a lollipop, turning the conversation towards their own plans for the festival.

Digvijay asks Jaya whether she will tie Rakhi to him. Jaya reveals that she has already prepared one for him because Anupama asked her to make it.

The family also discusses who will be able to attend the celebration. Prerna worries that Ansh may not be able to come, while Anupama remains confident that Bhavesh will not miss Raksha Bandhan.

Prem Hears Anupama’s Praise

Rahi continues trying to help Prem move past his anger. Gautam shows them Anupama’s interview, where she speaks positively about Prem despite competing against him in the finale.

Prem is surprised by what he hears. He had believed that Anupama considered him an enemy, but her words make him realise that she never allowed their personal relationship to affect her view of his talent.

Shruti Remains Angry

Shruti does not share Prem’s new understanding. She remains convinced that Anupama was responsible for the result and feels that the judges did not make a fair decision.

Mahi reminds everyone that Anupama had promised her a share because she contributed to the team’s journey to the finale. Pakhi and Paritosh oppose Mahi and accuse her of demanding money.
