The trailer of Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam: The Conclusion will be released on September 9, ahead of its theatrical debut on October 2, 2026. The third and final film in the Hindi Drishyam franchise will arrive in cinemas on Gandhi Jayanti, which is also known as Drishyam Day in the franchise.
Trailer Release on September 9
The makers announced the trailer date on September 5 through a new poster featuring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and other members of the cast. The announcement carried the line, ‘Iss baar khatra aur bhi bada hai. Salgaonkar parivaar…wapas ghere mein hai ‘
The trailer is expected to be launched at a major event in Goa, where the film’s principal cast is expected to be present. The makers had previously planned the launch around September 8 or 9, and September 9 has now been confirmed as the public release date.
Trailer Gets U/A 16+ Certificate
The theatrical trailer has already received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification. According to reports, the promo was certified on September 1 with a U/A 16+ certificate and has a runtime of 2 minutes and 52 seconds.
The Goa launch also connects with the franchise’s promotional history. The trailer of Drishyam 2 was launched in Goa in 2022, and the makers are returning to the location for the final chapter.
Ajay Devgn Returns as Vijay Salgaonkar
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam: The Conclusion. Tabu reprises her role as Meera Deshmukh, while Shriya Saran returns as Nandini Salgaonkar and Rajat Kapoor plays Mahesh Deshmukh.
The film also introduces Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj to the Hindi Drishyam universe. Ahlawat plays SP Crime Branch Rajveer Singh Tomar, while Prakash Raj is part of the film as lawyer Indrajith Shetty.
Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav also return as Anju Salgaonkar and Anu Salgaonkar respectively. Kamlesh Sawant is also part of the returning cast.
Final Chapter of the Hindi Franchise
Ajay Devgn officially announced the title Drishyam: The Conclusion on August 24, confirming that the third film will serve as the final chapter of the Hindi franchise. He returns as Vijay, the ordinary family man who has repeatedly used planning and deception to protect his family from the consequences of a crime.
At the time of the title announcement, Devgn wrote, ‘Har insaan ka nazariya alag hota hai… mere liye meri family hi sab kuch hai.’ The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also directed Drishyam 2.
Pathak has co-written the screenplay with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The film is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios, with Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak among the producers.
October 2 Has a Story Connection
Drishyam: The Conclusion is scheduled to release on October 2, 2026, the date of Gandhi Jayanti. The date also has a direct connection with the story of the Hindi franchise, as October 2 was used as part of Vijay Salgaonkar’s carefully constructed alibi in the first film.
The first Hindi Drishyam film was released in 2015, followed by Drishyam 2 in 2022. The third film is expected to continue the story of the Salgaonkar family while introducing a new investigation and new law-enforcement characters.
Story Details Remain Under Wraps
The makers have kept major details of the plot away from the promotional material so far. However, the latest poster indicates that the Salgaonkar family will once again come under pressure, with the new threat expected to form a central part of the final chapter.
Drishyam: The Conclusion is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2, 2026. Its trailer will be unveiled on September 9, giving audiences the first substantial look at the final chapter of Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar story.
