The latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai revolves around Kaveri beloved Lord Krishna idol, with the Damani and Poddar families finding themselves on opposite sides. As the Janmashtami celebration approaches, Abhira and Arman are also forced to confront a serious difference of opinion.
Arman Refuses to Give Kaveri Idol to the Damanis
The episode begins with Manisha telling Abhira that the Damanis are ready to pray only if Kaveri Lord Krishna idol is handed over to them.
Arman becomes furious when he hears this. He feels that the Damanis are mixing business interests with religious sentiments and only want the idol because of their own agenda.
Arman reminds everyone that Kaveri has protected the idol for years and refuses to let the Damanis take it away.
Meanwhile, Abhira enjoys breakfast with Myra while Arman focuses on Mukti training. Mukti wants to eat breakfast, but Arman insists that she first complete her running routine. Abhira prepares a healthy meal for her, while Myra jokingly demands cake, chocolate and kachori.
Myra Gets Angry With Kabir
Later, Myra runs into Kabir and immediately becomes upset after remembering that the Damanis have received the opportunity to conduct the religious ceremony.
Kabir argues that his family simply got an opportunity, but Myra explains why the Janmashtami celebration is so important to Kaveri.
She recalls that Arman was seriously unwell years ago. After he recovered, Kaveri made a vow to organise the worship every year as a way of expressing her gratitude to God.
Myra accuses Kabir and his family of being insensitive to Kaveri feelings. When Kabir bends down to pick up his glasses, Myra deliberately breaks them.
Raghav Demands the Idol
Raghav approaches Madhav and demands that he hand over the idol. Madhav reminds him that their families are business rivals.
Raghav argues that he already helped end their hostility by revealing details about the fraudulent employee. He now believes Madhav should return the favour by giving them the idol.
The situation becomes more complicated when Nandani meets Abhira and makes the same demand.
Abhira refuses because she does not want to hurt Kaveri.
However, Nandani puts Abhira under pressure. She tells her that thousands of devotees have faith in the idol and suggests that only Abhira can prevent their feelings from being hurt.
Abhira is left shocked by the emotional pressure.
Samar Receives Barkha Letter
Elsewhere, Samar meets Barkha and brings gifts for her. He asks her to return home and even gives her Kabir gift.
Barkha refuses to come back without Neena permission. Neena then takes Barkha away, but before leaving, Barkha gives Samar a letter.
Samar later reads it. Barkha asks him to smile and control his anger.
His emotional moment is interrupted when Manoj drives past and splashes dirt onto him. Samar becomes furious when he sees Manoj and Manisha.
Abhira Takes the Damanis Side
Arman notices that Abhira is disturbed and questions her about the idol.
When Abhira admits that she believes the idol should go to the Damanis, Arman is furious.
He refuses to consider giving away Kaveri treasured idol. Madhav, however, supports Abhira point of view.
Arman argues that they cannot hurt Kaveri religious sentiments. Abhira counters that the Damanis should not automatically be treated as bad people and that their personal differences should not be allowed to hurt the faith of thousands of people.
Manisha and Manoj also point out that the Damanis may not be as unreasonable as everyone believes. Manisha explains that Samar helped them reach home because their car had broken down.
Kaveri Leaves the Decision to Abhira and Arman
The disagreement between Abhira and Arman becomes increasingly heated.
Abhira believes that the religious ceremony should not become a victim of the families rivalry, while Arman remains determined to protect Kaveri emotional connection with the idol.
Finally, Kaveri intervenes and asks them both to stop arguing.
Rather than choosing a side herself, Kaveri tells Abhira and Arman that she will accept whatever decision they make.
The episode ends with the couple facing a difficult choice that could create an even bigger divide within the family.
