Toxic Movie Day 2 Collection Worldwide: Yash’s Film Crosses ₹190 Crore, But Sees a Big Drop

Toxic Movie Day 2 Collection Worldwide: Yash much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has completed two days at the box office, and the film has already crossed the ₹190 crore mark worldwide. However, the second-day business has dropped sharply compared with its massive opening.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic released in theatres on August 26, 2026, with Yash leading an ensemble cast that includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi.

The film arrived with enormous expectations following Yash popularity after the KGF franchise. Its opening day numbers showed the power of his fan base, but Day 2 has raised questions about whether Toxic can maintain the same momentum through the extended opening weekend.

Toxic Day 2 Collection Worldwide

According to the latest trade tracking figures, Toxic collected approximately ₹36.40 crore net in India on Day 2.

The film India gross after two days stands at around ₹164.50 crore, while its overseas gross has reached approximately ₹26.25 crore.

This takes the reported Toxic movie worldwide collection after Day 2 to around ₹190.75 crore.

Toxic Box Office Collection – Day Wise

DayIndia Net CollectionWorldwide Gross
Day 1₹101.10 croreAround ₹140.75 crore
Day 2₹36.40 croreAround ₹190.75 crore total
2-Day Total₹137.50 crore₹190.75 crore

The worldwide figure is based on currently available trade tracking, while figures can change as final collections are reported.

Toxic Movie Day 2 Collection: A Major Drop

The biggest talking point surrounding Toxic is not simply its ₹190 crore-plus worldwide total. It is the sharp fall between Day 1 and Day 2.

The film opened with around ₹101.10 crore net in India on its first day. On Thursday, Day 2, the collection dropped to approximately ₹36.40 crore, according to Sacnilk tracking.

That represents a drop of roughly 64% from the opening day.

The second-day decline has attracted considerable attention because Toxic arrived with strong advance booking, a major star in Yash and the benefit of a pan-India release.

Pinkvilla also reported a two-day India gross of around ₹153 crore and estimated a five-day extended-weekend total in the ₹225–235 crore range.

Toxic Day 2 Worldwide Collection: How Did the Film Perform Overseas?

The overseas market has contributed to Toxic worldwide total, although Day 2 overseas collections were considerably lower than the opening-day performance.

The latest tracking puts the overseas gross at approximately ₹26.25 crore after two days, with around ₹10 crore coming on Day 2.

With the India gross added to the overseas business, Toxic has moved close to the ₹200 crore worldwide milestone within just two days.

That is still a significant achievement, particularly considering that the film is only at the beginning of its theatrical run.

Toxic Movie Collection Day 2: Language-Wise Performance

The Hindi version continued to be the biggest contributor to the Day 2 India numbers.

According to the latest tracking:

  • Hindi: ₹23 crore
  • Kannada: ₹8.50 crore
  • Telugu: ₹3 crore
  • Tamil: ₹1.50 crore
  • Malayalam: ₹0.40 crore

The total Day 2 India net therefore stands at approximately ₹36.40 crore.

Interestingly, the Kannada version recorded the strongest occupancy among the major language versions, while the Hindi version contributed the largest absolute collection.

Why Did Toxic Drop on Day 2?

The second-day fall has become one of the biggest talking points around the movie.

Toxic opened strongly because of several factors:

  • Yash star power: The actor has a huge following across India following the success of the KGF films.
  • Massive opening-day anticipation: The movie had been one of the most awaited releases of the year.
  • Pan-India appeal: The film was released in Kannada along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
  • Strong advance booking: The movie entered theatres with substantial pre-release ticket demand.

However, the film has received mixed reactions from audiences and critics, which could affect its long-term theatrical run. Reports have particularly noted that the second-day numbers dropped sharply despite the huge opening.

The real test will therefore be the weekend.

If Saturday and Sunday show a strong recovery, the Day 2 decline may become less significant. But if the collections continue falling, Toxic could struggle to convert its enormous opening into an equally impressive lifetime total.

Toxic Movie Review: What Are Audiences Saying?

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas and presents Yash in a gangster-action setting.

The film has generated considerable discussion online, but the response has not been uniformly positive.

The movie scale, visuals and Yash screen presence have attracted attention, while the narrative and execution have divided viewers.

The mixed response is particularly important for the box office because a film with a huge opening needs strong word of mouth to maintain momentum after the first day.

For Toxic, the weekend collections will provide a much clearer indication of whether the film can turn its opening into a major blockbuster run.

Toxic vs KGF 2: Can Yash Repeat His Biggest Success?

Comparisons with Yash KGF Chapter 2 were inevitable even before Toxic released.

Yash previous blockbuster created enormous expectations for his next film, and Toxic was expected to deliver another major pan-India box-office event.

However, the Day 2 trajectory is something to watch closely.

The Indian Express reported that Toxic had reached around ₹190 crore worldwide after two days, while also noting the significant drop from its ₹101 crore opening day.

For now, it is too early to predict the film final worldwide collection.

Toxic Movie Worldwide Collection: Day 3 Expectations

The third day becomes particularly important after a sharp second-day decline.

The latest live tracking already shows Toxic continuing its theatrical run on Friday, with the India gross moving beyond the ₹167 crore mark during the day.

If the film manages to show a noticeable improvement on Friday and then grows strongly over Saturday and Sunday, it could still post a very healthy extended weekend.

The film Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 collections will therefore determine whether the initial Day 2 drop was simply a temporary correction or a sign of weaker word of mouth.

Toxic Movie: Cast and Crew

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas and stars Yash in the lead role.

The film also features:

  • Kiara Advani
  • Nayanthara
  • Tara Sutaria
  • Rukmini Vasanth
  • Huma Qureshi
  • Akshay Oberoi
  • Sudev Nair

The film is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash, with KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations associated with the project.

Toxic Movie Day 2 Collection Worldwide – Final Update

At the end of Day 2, Toxic has plenty to celebrate but also a few reasons for concern.

The film has:

  • ₹101.10 crore – Day 1 India net
  • ₹36.40 crore – Day 2 India net
  • ₹137.50 crore – Two-day India net
  • ₹164.50 crore – Two-day India gross
  • ₹26.25 crore – Overseas gross
  • ₹190.75 crore – Approx. two-day worldwide gross

The biggest question now is whether Toxic can recover from its Day 2 drop.

For Yash fans, crossing ₹190 crore worldwide in just two days remains a strong start. But for a film carrying such massive expectations, the weekend hold will ultimately decide whether Toxic becomes a genuine box-office blockbuster or simply records a huge opening followed by a steep decline.

Toxic Day 3 collection and Toxic worldwide collection will be updated as fresh trade figures become available.
