The Mirzapur series has been released, and I have completed all the episodes. However, after watching them, I felt this season was not up to par, it had many dull moments.
Mirzapur 3 starts where Season 2 ended, and they show the complete recap of the first two seasons of Mirzapur.
We already knew what would happen in this part, as we knew Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) was alive. Still, the most shocking thing from season 2 was the Death of Munna Bhaiya (Divyendu Sharma), which was very hyped. People were predicting that Munna Bhaiya was not dead. His heart is on the right side, and Guddu shoots him on the left. He used to call himself “Amar,” which means Immortal.
So, all the fan theories died with Munna Bhaiya (Divyendu Sharma). In the first episode, we can see his cremation.
The season starts on a Dull note, and this theme remains throughout the episodes. The reason is the lack of powerful characters.
In the first two seasons, the character buildup of Munna and Guddu (Ali Fazal) was interesting, and all the other characters, including Bauji (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) and Kaleen Bhaiya, were awesome.
But in this season, only Guddu Pandit and Sharad Shukla (Anjumm Sharma) are leading the story; Kaleen Bhaiya is recovering from bullet wounds, so we can say he is just there for small portions, nothing impactful except the final episode.
All the Major characters of the first two seasons are absent, except Golu (Shweta Tripathi) and Guddu Pandit.
Storywise, Mirzapur 3 lacks new strong characters, doesn’t properly revive from season 2, and has many loopholes in the story itself. Even with a bad story, actors like Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Vijay Varma can pull off a nice season with their acting, but they all went unused except Ali Fazal.
Dialogues of Mirzapur 3 are not great this time; only a few good dialogues are there.
Overall, it is a one-time watch if you are a fan of the Mirzapur universe. You can watch it for the sake of knowing the story, but don’t be in a hurry; you can wait and watch it slowly. It is not a binge-worthy season, it looks like Ali Fazal is carrying the whole season on his shoulder.
