Finding Fanny Movie Review – Wickedly Interesting!
Finding fanny is a satirical film directed by Homi Adajania. The film is about 5 different people who meet on a road trip. The film is selected to be screened at 19th Busan International Film Festival in October 2014. Most of the film is shot in Goa. The film got into problems with Censor Board of India for a line in the film, where Deepika says, “I am a Virgin”. The line has been removed and the film got U/A certificate. The film, however, got into troubles with Animal Welfare Board of India for a scene involving Hen too. Although the film is now released and has got a great response.

What I felt after watching Finding Fanny
The trailer of the film was quite interesting and this is one film, I was looking forward to watch. Well, Happy to say that my expectations were treated well by the film. The cinematography, the innocence and the wickedness of the plot, the comic timings and well developed characters make the whole film a really interesting one.
The best part of the film is less songs. There are no not so needed songs in the film, that gives the story the speed it needs without breaking the interest at all. I was quite excited to see the chemistry of Arjun and Deepika, trust me, you will love them sharing screen.
Story of Finding Fanny
The story of the film revolves around Naseeruddin Shah, who gets undelivered letters back. The letters he had sent to his beloved Fanny, years ago. He wants to find his Fanny, wants to know where she is and how has she been. On the way of Finding Fanny, 4 more characters met. The 5 different characters meet and the tale continues, unwrapping many things about them. Deepika is a young widow who finds love in Arjun during the journey.
The question arises- Will Naseeruddin be able to find her Fanny? For the answer, you must grab the seat of your nearest theatre and watch the film.
Finding Fanny Verdict
The journey of 5 different characters is a slow bumpy ride that you will enjoy. The innocent yet wicked characters of the film make the journey quite interesting. Naseeruddin Shah, Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have done a great job in the film. There are a few amazing things in film and a little bump that slows down the pace of the film.
What’s Good- The locations are perfect. Characters are etched perfectly. Deepika and Arjun’s chemistry is amazing. The best of the lot is Naseeruddin Shah.
What’s Bad- The film becomes a little bore at times. There are some unnecessary scenes in the film that weakens the film. I wish the second half was a little more interesting.
Should I watch Finding Fanny movie?
If you like films with not so obvious plots, then you must watch this film. The film goes at a slow pace with lots of comedy and perfectly etched characters. I liked this little bumpy journey, hope you will like it too. Feel free to share, how you liked Finding Fanny.
