Army of the Dead (2021)
Army of the Dead is a 2021 American zombie film directed by Zack Snyder. It is a remake of the 2005 French film Army of the Dead. The film stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera and Chris D’Elia.
In Army of the Dead, a group of mercenaries is hired by a billionaire to break into a Las Vegas casino and rob it of its zombie-infected treasure. The film was first announced in 2007, with Snyder attached to direct. In 2018, Snyder announced that he had started filming the movie. However, after the release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, Army of the Dead was placed on hold. Army of the Dead was released on Netflix on February 7, 2020.
The film received mixed reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a rating of 50%, based on 43 reviews. However, on Metacritic, it scored 49 out of 100, based on 16 reviews.
